Dr. Luis Lobón serves as the Global Managing Principal for Mass General Brigham Global Advisory and is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School. With over 25 years of healthcare leadership and advisory expertise, Dr. Lobón is recognized for his commitment to advancing patient care delivery, fostering healthcare system integration, and driving global healthcare transformation.
In his current role, Dr. Lobón leads the Mass General Brigham Global Advisory Client Executive Advisory team, focusing on establishing innovative patient care systems, designing executive educational programs, and developing cutting-edge research infrastructure. His efforts aim to deliver high-value care while meeting the evolving demands of the global healthcare industry through collaboration with international partners.
Previously, Dr. Lobón served as Vice Chair of Enterprise Emergency Medicine at Mass General Brigham and Program Director for the International Emergency Department Leadership Institute. He also directs the Brigham and Women’s and University of British Columbia Emergency Medicine Leadership Fellowship, mentoring the next generation of healthcare leaders.
Dr. Lobón is a graduate of the University of Cantabria Faculty of Medicine in Spain and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai and Beth Israel Medical Centers in New York. He earned a Master’s in Health Policy and Management from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and is an alumnus of the Brigham Leadership Program in collaboration with Harvard Business School.
Dr. Lobón’s passion for eliminating fragmented care, optimizing patient progression, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration has shaped his approach to leadership across academic and nonacademic healthcare organizations worldwide.
Dr. Nakshabandi obtained his (MBBS) degree from the College of Medicine, King Saud
University in 1994. Upon graduation, he had undergone clinical training at Prince Sultan
Military Medical City (PSMMC) in the specialty of Urology earning his specialist certificate
through the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), in addition to earning his Saudi
Board (SB-Urol) certification in the process in 2000. After that, Dr. Nakshabandi concluded a
three-year clinical fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston MA,
where he has been certified as a Urologist and Pediatric Urologist since 2003. Dr. Nakshabandi
later served as Head of the Pediatric Urology Division from 2005-2015 at PSMMC. At that
time, he also served as Chairman of both the Pediatric Urology Scientific Committee from 2010
– 2014, and the Scientific Board of Urology from 2014 – 2016 at the SCFHS. From 2016 –
2019, Dr. Nakshabandi served as the Chief Academic Officer in the SCFHS. Later in 2019, Dr.
Nakshabandi was appointed as Director of Health Workforce Program in the Vision 2030
Realization Office (VRO). Subsequently in 2020, he was appointed as the Senior advisor to the
deputy minister of health for transformation and the director of the VRO, Ministry of Health.
Currently, Dr. Nakshabandi serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Center for
Health Workforce Planning in the SCFHS, a position he has held since 2019.
Dr. Khaldoun Alromaih has been a driving force in scientific innovation as a member of the Hevolution Foundation’s scientific team and its Executive Director of Science since the summer of 2021. With a Bachelor of Science from the College of Science at King Saud University in Riyadh, Dr. Alromaih advanced his expertise by earning both an MSc and a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, specializing in the genomics and epigenomics of disease. He further honed his research skills during a prestigious five-year postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, where he conducted studies on kidney health, disease, and failure.
A former scientist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center and a lecturer at AlFaisal University’s Faculty of Medicine in Riyadh, Dr. Alromaih has made significant contributions as a researcher, educator, and mentor. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded innovative fundamental and translational research projects, shedding light on the mechanisms of kidney function and failure. His dedication to science extends to mentoring a new generation of researchers, inspiring future leaders in biomedical science.
Experienced healthcare and sports management leader with over 17 years in emergency medicine, medical
education, and high-stakes event management. With advanced training in Clinical Simulation and Medical
Education from Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals and an Executive MBA in Sports Management from
the Real Madrid Graduate School, I bring expertise in developing innovative healthcare programs and
managing complex healthcare operations. As a consultant with the Saudi Disaster Medical Assistance Team
(DMAT) for Hajj 2024 and advisor for the Mass Gathering Medicine Center at the Ministry of Health, I have
demonstrated leadership in large-scale healthcare coordination, disaster preparedness, and policy
development.
